iframe issue

  Dear all,

  We try to embed an external website on our WP site. The external site in question is:

  https://www.scanatura.no/fangstrapport/?id=950

  We add this in the HTML editor:

  <iframe src=”https://www.scanatura.no/fangstrapport/?id=950″</iframe>

  In the visual editor the external site shows up, but when we update/save the site and enter the preview, all that is displayed is a regular link. Reenter the editor, and the iframe code is gone and replaced with code.

  How come?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  A small mistake, this should be read like “replaced with a href code”….

  Hi there,

  iframe code is not allowed on WordPress.com sites for security reasons, as explained in https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

  We only allow iframe embeds from pre-approved services like Youtube, where we automatically convert the embed code to an iframe to ensure the iframe cannot be modified to insert malicious code.

  These code restrictions do not apply to sites on the Business Plan.
