Illustratr theme loading issue

    Hi there,
    I’m currently using Illustratr theme for my blog. This theme is great, however I’m worried that it takes loooong time to load each page, even with light content. Is there any way to switch off the loading icon, so that the page will load gradually?

    I can see that your homepage and single posts are taking a while to load.

    It looks like you’ve upload some extremely large images, such as this one, which alone is 2.4 MB.

    It’s also 2048 by 1356 pixels, which is far larger than the dimensions the theme can display. The image is being resized by the theme to 1100 by 500, which is the recommended size for featured images as you’ll see in the specs at the bottom of the theme documentation: http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/illustratr/

    I’d suggest that you try resizing your images smaller, as well as compressing them an image-editing software before uploading them, to reduce loading times. You’ll need to re-upload images for your existing posts to test the effects.
