I'm being charged!
-
I’ve gotten charges two months in a row, labeled siteground hosting. All I found when looking it up is wordpress. I have a FREE site and this has charged me $47.40 this month and last month. I need this taken care of! Im getting interest charged from purchases I did not make.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
It sounds like the site is hosted with Siteground, not with WordPress.com. As such, we are unable to provide any direct assistance in this manner.
The fact that the site may have been built using WordPress, or may mention ‘Powered by WordPress’ (or something similar) simply means it is using the WordPress.org software, which can be downloaded and installed on any web host.
If you’re interested, you can learn more about the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:
I would recommend getting in touch with Siteground, or checking out these resources if your site was indeed built with WordPress software:

I’m talking to siteground now. They are kind of hard to talk to. They insisted I contact WordPress because I don’t have an account with siteground. I told them that my bill specifically says SITEGROUND, not WordPress. And the fact that I don’t even have an account with them is the alarming part. I never signed up with them at all and the charges are ridiculous.

Do you know the domain URL that is associated with the charge? I can look up the Whois Data and find out more about the host.
Thanks!

I’m finally getting somewhere. The domain is uslexpress-oddcltd.com. It’s not even a working site and was purchased with someone else’s email address but my credit card. They are finally realizing that I’m actually being falsely charged.

Good to hear! I hope it all gets sorted out. Let me know if there is anything else I can do!
