I’m locked out of my blog.
-
Hi, I have 2 logins – 1 for a fairly new blog (https://shannongaither.com/blog) and an old one (Shananigans Right Brain).
I got locked out for too many login attempts. I use Showit for my host. I’m not sure how to fix this problem.
Thanks for your help in advance.

This is the error message I receive “The administrator has blocked your IP from accessing this website.”

Hi there,
We can’t help directly because we don’t host your site on our WordPress.com managed business hosting. As a result we don’t have the ability to take a closer look at your site.
Instead your host uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com. Specifically we use a custom security scanning and login system that does not output that error message, which is my other clue that you might be hosted elsewhere.
The good news is that I googled your error message and it seems to relate specifically to a 3rd party “defender” plugin designed to work with self-hosted WordPress sites, which are sites that you create on a “traditional web host” like Bluehost, GoDaddy, etc. Seems the solution to the issue is mentioned here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/defender-blocked-my-ip-and-now-i-cant-login/
If that does not work you may want to reach out to the support team for the Defender Security plugin here, so they can take a closer look at your site directly: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/defender-security/
Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
