Im so confused

  I bought a domain with drreamhost at wordpress suggestion, and I cant seem to get the wordpress admin part of the site to come up through dreampress. When I go on to dreamhost it says i need to update my wordpress. but it wont let me do it there. so I logged on to wordpress admin here, adn your site says nothing about an update and also i was able to log on with the same user name and password that i use to log in on there. I dotn know anythinga bout computers and I’m just really lost and conmfused right now.

  To clear up any further confusion, there is WordPress.com and WordPress.org, and they are two different entities.

  We, WordPress.com, are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting.

  You can find more details about WordPress.com and WordPress.org on this support page:

  That said, if you purchased hosting on Dreamhost, it means you’re using the WordPress.org version. Help for those sites is at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.
