I'm trying to delete my old blog
-
I’ve been trying to get help on removing old content (one post) from an old blog I put on wordpress. I keep getting told that it’s not my site, yet I’m the one who owns it – I posted the content, I created the blog page, and I can’t understand why I’m getting a run-around. I posted a screenshot of the page I get when I try to reset my login.
The reason why I’m doing all of this is because I’m letting go of this domain – and I want all this cleaned up so I can transfer it. The domain is stylatude.com. The wordpress site is stylatude.wordpress.com. Back in 2012, I remember I began experiencing problems with login while I was using the WordPress phone app. I wasn’t too concerned because I didn’t use the site too much (I was undergoing breast cancer treatment, and trying to work all this out was the least of my worries). That was a long time ago, and now I’m trying to get this cleared up.
I have a self-hosted wordpress site – blog.stylatude.com. I’m going to eventually get that all pulled down so the new person can do whatever she wants with the domain.
I hope this helps clear things up.
Joanne
P.S. I’m not sure why I keep getting told why I’m not the domain owner – but I at that time I used a ‘ghost writer name’ – Ginger Winchester. I was job hunting back then, and so I didn’t really want my own name coming up in what I was blogging, etc. I hope that information helps.

At one point, because I was having the login problems, I created a new user account, and that’s why I’m using stylatude1 instead of stylatude.

Another login that I used was politicalpsychicadmin — I hope this helps in trying to find my old account information. This needs to get fixed so that I can clean this out.
Thanks for your help.

I am commenting on this post because I have a similar problem, an employee at our company created a wordpress.com site and we would like to take it down. Unfortunately we do not have any record of the login credentials used to create the site and the employee is no longer with the company. What do we do?

Message to admin — I fixed my problem and this no longer needs a response.
FYI — I did it by going into the RSS link on the homepage and finding my old username information. I remembered my old password – It was the username (exact format/wording) that I couldn’t remember. Long story short – It worked. I went in, deleted all my old info, etc.
All done.
