I’m trying to make sure I renew my domain name. No way to ‘make purchase’ and know it’s done!

It’s set to expire on May 2. It says it would renew today, but I had to put in new credit card information (old card expired). I’ve done that, and now I’d like to make sure it’s renewed. The only option is to upgrade. I just want to renew the domain, not upgrade.

I just looked at the WhoIs information and it says Registrant is WildWestDomains.com. It says “updated date” as 4/2/2017. Is that someone you work with? Or was our domain lifted last year with no notification?

Sorry, Mike Augspurger (that’s us) is the Regitstrant. “Wildwestdomains.com” is the Registrar.

@gemmacevans will return to this thread. While you are waiting perhaps you should check who actually owns the site and ask them to log in to WordPress.com. Only the owner/admin can renew the domain from their dashboard. You appear to be an author on the site.
PS: WildWestDomains do indeed work alongside WordPress.com. -

There will be a particular account that set up the domain originally. The account lenifried isn’t the correct account to be logged into to renew.

The only option is to upgrade. I just want to renew the domain, not upgrade.
oldstonemillcenter.org is owned by another user of the site (oldstonemillcenter), which is why you aren’t seeing the option to renew while logged in as lenifried.
As @themagicrobot mentioned, the domain can only be renewed through the account that purchased it. Are you able to login to the other account or ask that person to do so?
“Wildwestdomains.com” is the Registrar.
This is our domain partner but you purchased oldstonemillcenter.org through WordPress.com, so we handle the renewals each year.
Please let me know if you have any trouble logging in to the other account.

Wow… Ok. Thanks for that tip!
Had to log in under my husband’s email, which was apparently how we were logged in when we set up. We got it now!Very confusing. It’s doesn’t clearly tell you that you are not the owner – it just looks like there are no options.
Took copious notes in case our payment information changes again and we need to repeat this.
