I'm trying to switch my domain over to a squarespace, why can't I edit the CNAME

  Hello, I’ve been trying to follow this manual http://help.squarespace.com/guides/mapping-a-domain-with-wordpress but get stuck on step 3, as my CNAME is not editable when I hover over it, only the A name pops up with the pencil icon. Any idea on what’s going on? I need this site transferred over ASAP.

  The directions from Squarespace are in a strange order. Skip ahead and make the A record change first, then you can do the CNAME record.
