Image attachment with comments fails

    I’m trying to allow users to upload images when they post a comment, but attaching an image to the comment leads to https://{domain-name}/wp-comments-post.php, which says ‘Oops! That page can’t be found.’ and the comment is not submitted. When no file is attached, the comment is successfully submitted. I tried using both the ‘DCO Comment Attachment’ and ‘Comment Image’ plugins, but both fail with the same issue. Could I get some help figuring out how to get file attachment to work? Thanks.

    Following step 2 here worked for the “Comment Image” plug in but not for “DCO Comment Attachment”: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/psa-to-those-getting-404-errors-when-uploading-image/

    It’s possible there are some security settings on your site (or on the server level) that are preventing this, however, we aren’t able to look. We primarily provide support for free WordPress.com sites on this forum. Your site is hosted by Bluehost and is using the WordPress.org software.
