Image Error sharing to Facebook

  When I share a post from https://aaronlending.wordpress.com/ to the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/aaronlendingphx/ the thumbnail images do not appear.

  I have read several posts about the same issue but haven’t been able to resolve the issue. When I run the FB debugger I get this…

  og:image was not defined, could not be downloaded or was not big enough. Please define a chosen image using the og:image metatag, and use an image that’s at least 200x200px and is accessible from Facebook. Image ‘https://secure.gravatar.com/blavatar/8fbf97d2cb224381d38b10a7d48b2e23?s=200&ts=1487811774’ will be used instead.

  Hey there,

  There is a 480x480px minimum acceptable size for Facebook posts, otherwise the thumbnail will not show up. How big was the thumbnail you used?

  So I have reset the image size to 480×319 and that didn’t work.

  I also tried adding it as a featured and that didn’t work.

  If I make the same exact post using a different wordpress site (https://jayrapson.com/) to my FB account it works fine?

  I just ran it through the debugger again and got this…

  Provided og:image URL, https://secure.gravatar.com/blavatar/8fbf97d2cb224381d38b10a7d48b2e23?s=200&ts=1489444757 could not be downloaded because it exceeded the maximum allowed sized of 8Mb.

  Ah, is that the size of the image on your site? if so, I would try to optimize the size of the image and see if that helps.

  You have an image here that is 10MB and one here that is 9MB. I take it that Facebook is picking one of them up. Were one of these two the ones you were wanting to have displayed on your Facebook post?
