Image Gallery Carousel – Can you help me get the background to change to white?

I have gone into Settings for my Image Gallery Carousel and have changed the background choice to white several times and it remains black, I cannot get the background to change to white. Please help! Thank you!

I assume you’re referring to pages like http://volantphotographyart.com/photo-galleries/pelicans/ ?
The slideshow’s background is black and cannot be changed.
The Carousel is what appears when you insert a gallery, not a slideshow.
