  I need to know the required size of an image so I can add it to a post.}
  I’m using the Twentyseventeen theme.

  You can find your theme’s recommended image sizes on its info page. So for Twenty Seventeen:
  https://wordpress.com/theme/twentyseventeen

  The main column width is up to 525 wide with the two column layout, or up to 740 wide with the one column layout.
  The sidebar column width is up to 326.
  The recommended Featured Image size is 2000 wide by 1200 high.
  The recommended Header Video and Header Image sizes are 2000 wide by 1200 high.
