Image text not visible when editing Image block

    When editing a blog post and selecting the Image block type, text added to the image in question is not visible. The text shows correctly in Preview and when post has been published, but not in the editor.

    The text in question is the text inside the <figcaption></figcaption> tags. Web browser used is Safari 14.1.1 on macOS.

    Thank you for your report. We have had similar reports from other site owners as well, and our team is investigating and working on a fix.

    To explain, the issue is that for some reason the caption text in the editor view is white text (on a white background) so it appears to be invisible, but as you note you can still type captions there and see them in preview.

    While we work on this issue, In the meantime you can continue to add captions even though you can’t see them (and confirm in preview that they are correct) and then once we correct the issue you will see the editor view of captions return to normal.
