  is it possible to include images on portfolio pages that are specifically set up so that they cannot be downloaded or copied by viewers/site visitors?

  Not really. Everything you put on the internet can en will be downloaded one way or another. You can only make it more difficult to download those images, https://wordpress.com/support/prevent-content-theft/
