Images Disappearing

I include a lot of images in my posts, and when I go back later to make edits or look at previous posts, random images are missing, leaving out whole chunks of the story. It’s really frustrating, I’ve already gone into one of my posts 2 times to re-insert the images, but I checked today and they’re gone AGAIN, along with a lot of my other posts. I haven’t checked them all, but it’s probably the same deal. What’s going on, and how can I fix it?

The post McKenzie Mountain has a number of missing images — with only the image ID visible — each of which leads to an image URL displaying a blank page or a 404 error (I’d expected all of them to show 404 errors, but some are just blank). Here’s an example of an image URL with a 404 error, regarding IMG_2099:

The most likely cause of the missing images is the deletion of them from your media library. The images must remain in the media library in order to display.

Thank you! I had realized that and I’ve been replacing them with html code linking to photobucket urls. Hopefully that fixes the issue!
