Images have disappeared from my blog

  Hello users,

  I am experiencing a big issue today : images have disappeared from my blog http://playintubeandco.wordpress.com/ . I mean all of them, even tried with other browser and a proxy, cleaned my cache it didn’t work : error 404.
  In my Media Library, they have all gone. “5, 1 MB stored over 3, 0 GB” is written.
  I have not changed anything till yesteray except posting one link in a page.
  Hope they have not gone for ever, I had tons of images…

  Hi there,

  According to our records, you deleted these images from your media library 2 days ago (on November 24 between 5:00 and 5:20 PM UTC). Deleting files from your media library is permanent — once they are deleted, there is no way to recover them. You’ll need to reupload those files to keep using them on your blog.

  If you didn’t delete these files, it’s possible that someone else who knows your password accessed your account without authorization. Please go to your Password Settings and update the password on your account. We have tips for choosing a good password here: Selecting a Strong Password

  Hi,
  Thank your for your help, it was really quick !

  I will change my password because I didn’t delete these files…
  Is there a way to recover them ? I think I had more than 300.

  I mean they must still be in your database because it happenned not so long ago, am I wrong ?

  Hi there, unfortunately, files deleted from your media library can’t be recovered. Deleting those files is permanent and can’t be undone. I know it’s a bummer, but you’ll need to upload the images to your media library again to use them on your blog.

  Ok well… I have lost nearly 50% of my pictures, I should have backed up them… Google cache does not store it I am very sad.
  Anyway thank you for your help, really.
