Images not displayed after xml import in new website

  Hi,

  We exported the xml file from “http://hbvr.wordpress.com/” and trying to import that in “http://haga-brunnsviken.org/”. The export and import goes on well but, none of the images are being displayed in “http://haga-brunnsviken.org/”. Is that any settings that needs to be enabled yet or will the export option do not export the images?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  When you create the export file, there’s an option to include media or just include links to media. You have to include the media, otherwise this is the result. Just create a new Export file.

  Thanks for your kind advice. I chose the option “All Content” while exporting the XML file and it was said that “This will contain all your posts, pages, comments, custom fields, terms, menus and custom items.” But still I could not get my Images exported. Is there a separate option to include the Media files or links part from that? If yes, can you please guide me to reach this option since I could not find that anywhere in my admin panel.

  The option to include media is actually on the import end of the process. On http://www.haga-brunnsviken.org/ did you check the box to include media? Regardless, do not hide or delete the WordPress.com site until the media import is successful.

  I understand that you are switching your self-hosted site to a WordPress install (but it is not as yet), so for any future questions or help on using self-hosted WordPress, you’ll need to head over to http://wordpress.org/support/ and create an account there if you don’t already have one.
