images not showing on mobile

  I recently rebuild this site and something strange is now happening. Images are frequently not showing when viewed on a mobile device. They just display a box with the alternate text displayed, no error messages. This includes images that are obviously not missing like the logo. The same pages render just fine on a computer. I have tried pausing Cloudflare and deactivating Photon in Jetpack but nothing seems to help. There are no other plugins on the site that have anything to do with images. What am I missing?
