Images were not imported from WP.com to WP.org

During the export/import process from WordPress.com to WordPress.org my images didn’t get imported. The only thing i am getting after choosing the option “Import Attachments” is a grey screen called “Import WordPress” with these 2 sentences on it:
Media “stones in Timna Park” already exists.
Media “Sunset, Dead Sea, Jordan (5)” already exists.
The rest of the images (it is about 150 of them) were never exported/imported. I would like to understand what went wrong? ThanksThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I do not know why you did not receive the prompt to include media files when importing into WordPress.ORG. I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Hi there,
WordPress.com staff don’t have the tools or access to resolve issues importing into a self-hosted (WordPress.org) site. However, I’d recommend emptying the self-hosted site (trashing the posts and pages and then emptying the trash) and then trying the import again. That will let you re-do the entire import process in case there was a glitch the first time around.
WordPress.org also has a support page about Importing Content that may help.
If you continue to run into problems with the import, the WordPress.org forums are a good place to get more help with your import.

I will do what you have advised, thanks. As for the WordPress.org forum, then actually I was sent with my problem from there to here by one of the community members… :))
