  I received the archived files of a WordPress site and would like to import into a new WordPress site. The archive contains the folders.
  dup-installer
  wordpress
  wp-admin
  wp-content
  wp-includes
  and sevaral php files

  The import option on the WP menu mentions and xml files that needs to be imported, however there is no xml file.

  Is this an incorrect/wrong archive or can you maybe point me into the right direction to import these files (website)

  To import these files, you would need to have the business plan enabled on the installation and you would follow this guide here when using SFTP: https://wordpress.com/support/sftp/

  Is the site currently hosted somewhere? If yes, this migration tool might be more useful and quicker: https://wordpress.com/support/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/
