Import from self hosted site – Jetpack puzzle
-
I am trying to import my site from a self-hosted location to wordpress.com, where I have a Business Plan.
I followed the guidance at this page
https://wordpress.com/support/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/#option-1-migrate-from-self-hostedbut the import process only offers me the “Content only” option, with “Everything” greyed out. It tells me I need to have Jetpack installed on my site to be able to import everything. However, I have Jetpack installed on both the self-hosted site and on my wordpress.com site.
I have screenshots but I don’t know how to add them to the post…
Please can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong?

Hi there,
From what I can see you only have one site listed on this account. If you have Jetpack installed on another site, it’s likely that it is listed under another login, and not your @monyash login.
In order to be able to complete your migration both sites will need to be listed under the same account. The typical solution for this is to reset your current jetpack connection (on the existing site) so it can be connected to this account instead.
Because this is the support forum for free WordPress.com sites (sites on our Business plan use specialized hosting, which we are less familiar with) so for assistance with this we recommend using the priority support option that is included in your Business Plan. You can find that help here:
https://wordpress.com/help/contact
From three the team will help you with ensuring both sites are on the same account connection so you can proceed with your migration. Thanks!
