Import from WordPress.org to WordPress.com – XML file not valid?

  Trying to import the Export file from my self-hosted site to Wodpress.com but am getting the following error:

  ‘Problem processing import file
  Make sure you are using a valid WordPress export file in XML or ZIP format.’

  This happens when I try to export All Content. It also happens when I try to import just my published posts. The only thing that has worked is the import of just the pages.

  Any help would be appreciated :)

  Thanks for writing to us. What’s the overall file size? You may have better luck by splitting it up in to several smaller files.
