Import from WordPress to WordPress got stuck

  We are trying to split one blog into two, therefore we need to make a copy of the two blogs what we try to do by exporting from one wordpress.com and then importing to the other new wordpress.com address.

  The import proces however gets stuck at the folowing message however:
  “
  We’re processing your import now and will send you an email when it’s all done. If you don’t hear from us within 24 hours, please contact support, and we’ll get everything fixed.
  “

  It is more than two weeks now…

  Does anyone have experiences with this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi timethief,

  thank you for your supper fast response.

  I received an email from the WordPress.com team! with the message “Your WordPress import was successful.”

  When going to the blog nothing changed however(no content added and the importer is still stuck), maybe I should give it some more time… I will post my later findings here.

  The address of the blog has just changed to steindmcanada.wordpress.com

  Sorry about that I didn’t think about the consequences to the support team as the previous address is now no longer existing.

  Then I logged in on the new blog address and started the import but it unfortunately never completed.

  to my new blog:
  http://steindmcanada.wordpress.com/

  The reason I want to do this is so my wife can keep on using the original blog and I can have my own blog.

  For the export I selected export “all content” to XML. Was about 1.9MB

  Can I try again with the same file or would you recommend changing something when trying again to not get stalled again?

  I just cleared that job for you. You can definitely try again with the same file. This just happens sporadically.
