    I recently purchased a plan with the hosting site Bluehost and I am creating my WordPress website. I am having issues exporting my blog post from this site to my new one. The content is downloading in a XML format and it needs to be in a WXR format. Support is telling me to contact my hosting provider and ask for the backup of wp-content in .zip format and database .sql file. Is there anyway you can assist me?

    Hi there,

    On free WordPress.com sites like yours, the wp-content folder and the database cannot be exported.

    The XML file generated by the export tool is sufficient to migrate your content to a new WordPress installation. All you have to do is use the official WordPress importer tool. You can find more information here:
