Imported Pages do not Display Properly

  • Unknown's avatar

    Dear sir/madam,

I am importing a website to my local web server. I have exported the content from the other webside, and import the .xml file to my local site. After installing a number of plugins, it seems the import is successful.

But when I try to check the webpages, they are not properly display. It looks that the layout is not interpreted. It only display some code, the code looks like this:

    [vc_row][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″ el_class=”about-wrap”][vc_custom_heading text=”COMPANY PROFILE” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:center” google_fonts=”font_family:Raleway%3A100%2C200%2C300%2Cregular%2C500%2C600%2C700%2C800%2C900|font_style:600%20bold%20regular%3A600%3Anormal”][vc_column_text]

    ……

Could you tell me what could cause this problem? I must have missed some steps, but I don’t know what they are.

Thank you very much for your time.

    Best regards
    Zong

    I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  • Hi there,
We can’t help directly because we don’t host your site on our WordPress.com managed hosting. As a result, we can’t take a closer look at your site.

Instead your host (localhost) uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform (sometimes called “WordPress.org”) which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com. Specifically we do not offer a localhost option on WordPress.com (our services are cloud-based and cannot be run locally) so as a result we are not familiar with your request.

The good news is that help is available here at the open-source WordPress forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/

The folks in that forum are more familiar with these kinds of issues and are in the best position to help. Thanks!
