Importer taking longer than 24 hours

  Import of wordpress xml file has been running for over 3 days and stuck at processing. Is there anything I can do to resolve this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  For some reason, the form auto posted the blog I need help with but used the wrong one. It’s actually sandstemp.wordpress.com

  Hello,

  It looks like the importer got stuck. I’ve just reset it for you, can you try importing again?

  HI gemmacevans, the importer on wordpress.com still show’s that it’s in progress. When I go into WP-Admin and use the WordPress import tool there then I get the following error message:

  Import WordPress
  Using LIBXML_COMPACT Using LIBXML_PARSEHUGE
  Sorry, there has been an error.
  This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number

  I’ve tried all the fixes I found online like zipping the file and changing the version number from 1.2 to 1.1 but nothing works.
