Importing from Google +
-
Hello, I’ve exported my Google + community to my desktop in WordPress format. I’ve successfully used WordPress.org to make sure the export worked fine. All references to pictures are being referenced back to Google Photo, which is what I want.
I wanted to have WordPress.com potentially host my community, so I imported the site to WordPress.com. Unfortunately, WordPress.com import copied the Google Photo’s to the media library, and I quickly ran out of space. When I looked at the HTML, the site WordPress.com created pointed to the media library instead of Google Photo. How can I import my Google + site with all references to Google Photo’s intact?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Importing a WordPress-compatible import file to a WordPress.com site will always result in any images being imported to the WordPress.com media library as well. That is how our importer is designed to work, and there is no way to prevent it.
We do not have a Google+ importer on WordPress.com. To use the Google+ importer plugin available on WordPress.org you’d need to be on our Business Plan.
If you need to import media in excess of the 3GB storage available on our free plan, you can upgrade to any of our paid plans to increase your storage limit.
