Importing Template from Blogspot

  Hello,

  I am trying to import my personal blog to the platform, but the main blockage I find is the lack of options when it comes to migrating my old blog just as it is: while I want to migrate to wordpress for the level of details in all its features compared to the simplistic approach of blogspot, I am irrationally attached to the template I’m using in blogspot and I want it to be kept during the transfer.

  Is there any way I can migrate my content as a whole to wordpress and keeping the format and the page as I’m used to while benefiting from the technical advances of wordpress?

  Hi koroonful,

  While content can be imported from your existing site, the template won’t be compatible with WordPress.com. However, there are lots of great themes to choose from in our Theme Showcase:

  My main need is the template I have right now. I wanted to create a website managed by wordpress but that could read the whole scrip of my old blog and import everything.

  This is not possible?

  It’s not possible to use a Blogger template on any WordPress site, whether WordPress.com or self-hosted. Blogger themes are not compatible with the WordPress software.

  I just want to note you won’t be able to use that template on any other CMS either. Blogger themes are written for the Blogger software, so can only be used on other Blogger sites. Likewise WordPress themes only work on WordPress, Tumblr themes only work on Tumblr, etc.
