Importing .wpress error

    I have been trying to import a .wpress file that I received from a developer, but using the import functionality, it throws back an error. Wishing to resolve to upload the .wpress file properly so I can continue the work left by the previous developer.

    Hi Justin,

    You will need an .xml file in order to import content to bowlerponssolutionsconsultants.wordpress.com:

    Import a Website

    Are you exporting from a self hosted WordPress.org site? If so, there should be an option to export an .xml file from Tools > Export on the dashboard. Depending on your account privileges, this is something the developer may need to do for you.

    If you are working on a different site, can you send a link to the one you are referring to?
