Importing XML File from Blogger to WP

  I’ve tried multiple times to import an XML file using Tools>Import>Blogger>Run Importer. But I keep getting this error message: ‘The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.’ I’ve tried checking the email with which I set up my account, but haven’t received any instructions.

  I’ve also read that the size of the XML can be a problem. My file is 16,505 KB. Is that too large?

  Hi there,

  Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. We cannot help with this in the WordPress.com forums, as we have no control over the importer on your site, and we don’t use exactly the same Blogger importer on WordPress.com as the one you have on your site.

  That would depend on the memory limits on your server, so please contact Bluehost, who is hosting your site, directly in that regard.
