in Guided Transfer: will I be able to access my old blog?

    I am going to transfer my wordpress.com blog to dreamhost and want to know if people can still navigate to my old wordpress.com blog? will they be re-directed to my new one, or if they enter my old address, nothing will happen?

    Also, the fine print of guided transfer mentioned this upgrade with by renewed each year. This sounds like it should be a one-time fee.
