  Hi! I’m the owner of Anchoredinprepblog.wordpress.com ! I was thinking of buying a domain, but I really want Anchoredinprep.com
  But, someone already owns that domain. The thing is, that they haven’t been active since the very beginning of 2015. I was wondering if perhaps I could get their web address? Since they are inactive, and pretty much keeping the web address for nothing? Thank you so much!!

  Hi there,

  Domains like Anchoredinprep.com are legal property, so it would be illegal for us to give an existing domain like that to you, and that’s besides the fact that it’s not even possible the way our system works – ONLY the owner of a domain can transfer it.

  If someone buys a domain, they own it for as long as they pay for it. Whether they use it or not doesn’t matter. It’s their property with which they can do what they want. This includes giving or selling it to someone else, so I’d suggest you try leaving a comment on their site asking if they’d be willing to do this. But until and unless they cancel that domain or let it expire, there is no other way that you’ll be able to use that domain.
