  Hi,
  I would like to have a blog called ‘moderneast’. The problem is that this name is already used by someone who is completely inactive since he/she created his/her blog in 2012. Is there something that can be done to change it ?

  Unless you personally can track down this person and convince them to give you the keys, there is nothing to be done. Staff will not intervene. You can use the Custom Domain and Mapping upgrades to get whatyouwant.com though.
