Incompatibility in WordPress versions
-
Hi, I have been responsible for the maintenance of a wordpress based website for the last years for the company I work in. The website was made by an external company and they used a theme developed by them, that is based another theme from another company (just found this out) that sells themes in themeforest. The website has now reached a critical situation because the theme is old and not compatible with the newer versions. On top of that the company is no longer available (apparently) and I don’t think they have a more updated version of their theme. Is it possible to go back to a previous version of WordPress (4.8 or 4.9), so that I can go back to working with it? It is a difficult situation, I am unable to write or save posts and pages as the new builder from worldpress interferes with the build from the theme (Avia layout builder).

Hi there,
Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. We’re only able to help with sites hosted on our servers at WordPress.com.
Please ask the WordPress.org community for advice instead. They provide support for the open source version of WordPress you’re using:
