Incorrect Charge

I was charged $11.03 by WordPress through Paypal. I cancelled a transaction a few minutes after mistakenly clicking through a purchase for $13. I was supposed to receive a full refund.

  • Hi there,

We have issued a full refund for your payment on the 7th. You can view the receipt for that refund here:

    https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/

Refunds typically take about 10 business days before they will reflect in your account. We do not refund any currency conversion or other transaction fees that might be charged by your bank or credit card company.

This is a separate charge of $11.03 that has already posted. The $13 refund went through right away. There should not be an additional charge for $11.03 so this is a mistake and needs to be resolved.

  • There are no upgrades on WordPress.com that cost $11.03, and there is no charge for that amount showing on your account.

Are you sure it’s for WordPress.com? What does the reference on your statement say?

  • Thanks for the info. I asked someone from our billing department to check, and there’s definitely only one charge for you in our system.

Did you pay directly via PayPal? And is this showing in your PayPal account, or on your card statement? We suspect this might be a fee levied by your bank, or otherwise a mistaken entry on the statement. Can you please check directly with PayPal and/or your bank on this to make sure it’s not an error on their end?
