  Hi, how can I add an index to the front page of my blog so people can choose previous posts from their titles rather than having to scroll through the whole blog backwards?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Good Morning –

  There’s a couple different ways that you could go about this.

  1. Using categories. Those can be assigned to the posts of a same topic. The category can be linked in to a site menu, or a sidebar, or on a page.

  2. There’s a display post shortcode that you can use to customize the display:

  Hi,

  Yes this has partly helped, I know virtually nothing about coding but I have managed to create a page within my blog which now has a list of all the different blog titles for people to choose (I did experiment with adding pictures etc but the format looked messy so I’ve stuck with the list).
  The only problem is I have that as an option (a page I guess) but I also still have another page under the heading home” where all the blogs are still displayed continuously underneath each other. I don’t really need both. How do I then remove that page? I’m obviously conscious of accidentally removing all my blog posts in the process!

  Don’t worry about deleting all your posts. You’d have to do that manually from My Sites – Site – Posts – Delete Post …

  Your posts need a publication page, and that is chosen in the settings. It does not have to be the front page of the site, and it doesn’t even have to be linked to the menu at all. I think this is what you’re after. By reassigning that publication page to one that isn’t on the front end of the site you can just keep that customized list.

  How’s that sound?

  Create a new page for this purpose from My Sites – Site – Pages – Add New
  It’s not going to be added to your site menu by default, that’s a manual process.
