Insecure Connection Warning

  Hi
  I’ve been told by a few people that they keep getting ‘insecure connection’ warnings when trying to access my blog. I just tried and got this message too:

  The owner of http://www.katiemakesadress.wordpress.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

  It’s happening with different internet browsers. I’ve never had this problem before.

  Hi there,

  I don’t see any warnings if I visit your site via the URL https://katiemakesadress.wordpress.com/

  But if you try to go to https://www.katiemakesadress.wordpress.com/, you will get a warning, as we cannot redirect https://www to the non-www version. Just typing “www.katiemakesadress.wordpress.com” will work without any warnings, but if you type out the https it won’t work if you include the www.

  When sharing the link to your site, please rather share https://katiemakesadress.wordpress.com/ only, as that’s the primary URL for your site and the one at which it’s indexed by search engines.
