Insert ticker tape scroll on home page

I want to insert right-to-left ticker tape scroll on my home page. I know how to do this generically with html “header” and “body” commands but can find no option for editing html headers in the WP text editing tool.
Is there a method that I’m missing? Thank you.

Hi there,
Unfortunately, you wouldn’t be able to edit the html on WordPress.com. You would only be able to edit CSS with the Custom Design upgrade.
With that upgrade you would also be able to apply custom fonts/color in addition to editing CSS.
If this is a necessity for you, probably the best idea would be to move to self-hosted, WordPress.org. To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.

WordPress.org is a software for self-hosted sites. With WordPress.org, users are provided access to all backend files and can upload custom themes and plugins.
