Insert web page

  When I try to insert a web page via media the title box disappears. Is there a reason for this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I’m not sure that I completely understand what you are asking. Can you be more specific about what you are doing?

  When I try to insert a web page on the blog, I paste in the URL and then usually I type what the title should be. For the past few days, the title box disappears a second after I paste in the URL. So I am only allowed to paste in the full address. For example,

  null

  rather than

  Battle of Britain

  It is probably something minor but I don’t remember changing any of the settings.

  Yes, I usually use Chrome but the same thing happens with Firefox.

  Can you show me a specific post on your site where this has happened? I think there is a way to fix it.

  I wanted to insert the following link with my own title but obviously I could not do that.

  http://resources.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/homework/bt/norway.htm

  Instead the blog page has the URL rather than what I wanted to title it as.

  Or are you trying to make words link to that page like this:

  Link these words to that page

  Okay, so the easiest way to fix this is to use a little HTML. Here is the format you want to use:

  <a href="http://URLGOESHERE.com">TEXT YOU WANT TO DISPLAY</a>

  Insert that into the “text” view when you are editing that post.

  That works so thanks for your advice. Any idea why the original title box disappeared? I have been using wordpress for five years and it has always been there.

  Honestly, I’m unsure. The standard way of creating links (as described here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/links/ ) is the same as it has ever been for me.
