Inserting HTML code into my home page

  I have some html code that is supposed to run a 40 second video over top of my home page when visitors arrive. When I try to add the code as a blog post, or in the widgets, the code seems to get deleted when I try to save it. I have tried repeatedly, as well as the tech support at the marketing company, same result. Is there a way to run this code?

  If you require other advertising, you might be interested in a self-hosted (WordPress.org) installation. There are no restrictions on advertising if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities.
