Inserting Media into my page

  Hello,
  I am trying to upload an image to one of my pages however, every media file I try to upload becomes transparent with a blue question mark in the middle. What can I do to fix this?

  Can you please let me know the image type you’re uploading? Also, what interface are you using? The classic one (https://mkzb98.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php) or the new one at https://wordpress.com/ ?
