Inserting special characters with new editor

  Hi,

  How do you insert special characters using the new editor? There doesn’t seem to be a button like with the classic editor

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  The block editor does not have a character map built in like the classic editor, no. The team over at WordPress.org decided not to include that in the editor as all operating systems have built-in character maps, alt codes and keyboard shortcuts for special characters already.

  The fastest way is to learn the alt-codes or set keyboard shortcuts for those you use most often. That way you can just add them in as you type without having to click in a bunch of places to add them.
