Installing WP to a website – how to integrate to existing blog?

    I have an existing WP blog.

    Installing WP to a website asks for site name which then creates a new site so when installation is complete I have a new blank blog – I want the existing WP site to be integrated into my website, not build a new blog – the blog is a customized Blogger import, took many hours to customize properly – using export from existing WP then import to the new WP only half works – many widgets do not copy over and they are the widgets originally copied over from Blogger.

    QUESTION: is there a way to have the WP installation on my website integrate with the existing (old) WP blog and not necessarily the new one that is created in the installation process??
