Integrating JS Accordion into my WP Theme

I have a scripted accordion menu coded but the onclick function doesn’t seem to be firing. It (the ones with the +) should have a slide open function when clicked. I have placed the html in the div that I want the menu to go. The CSS is plugged in via the customize aspect of wordpress. The javascript I wrapped up with my theme zip after exporting it and then imported the theme and updated via wordpress. I have also incorporated the tag to the JS file directly
