invalid post address – post cannot be found
-
My site has been down more than a week, it looks like nothing has been done except a theme has been chosen. All the work I’ve done seems to be gone online. When I try to click on a post – draft or published – in the list of them in WordPress, I get an “invalid post address – post cannot be found” message. There is a red circle with an exclamation mark next to my site name and when I click it, it only says “site cannot be accessed” but does not tell me why or how to fix it. I am unable to write, share, or do anything. I contacted Jetpack several days ago and haven’t heard a thing. I need this back up and running. Any ideas, please?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

OK, so, ironically, I was NOT asking for help with my other blog, which IS online and does NOT have a red exclamation mark next to it, but when I just tried to switch sites in wordpress, it tells me I haven’t created any content yet, even though the content is right there online. And for http://www.meanderwithus.com, I can see the content in wordpress in lists, but not click on the posts and nothing shows up online. What is going on??

Hi there,
http://www.meanderwithus.com/ is not hosted with us on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another host.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
In this case though, it sounds like your site may have fallen to a widespread vulnerability originating from the ThemeGrill Demo Importer plugin: https://www.zdnet.com/article/bug-in-wordpress-plugin-can-let-hackers-wipe-up-to-200000-sites/
Please reach out to your hosting provider’s support about this, and make this vulnerability clear when you reach out to them so they can more quickly assist you! When you regain access to your site, I’d recommend following this guide to re-secure your site: https://jetpack.com/support/securing-your-site-after-a-hack/
