iOS app not updating correctly

    My iOS app works perfectly for my free WordPress site but for my .com it fails every time. I’ve gone through admin to change a Page or do a blogpost but it’s extremely cumbersome from my phone which is the device I use 99% of the time. I’m struggling to understand why it’s not loading properly. I’ve turned Jetpack on and off and that changed nothing. I turned off all other plugins. Nothing. Please help.

  • Hi @primeperiwinkle, when you say it isn’t loading, what’s happening exactly? Is it slow, are there errors? Does it just time out?

    Also, as cliche as it sounds, have you tried powering the iPhone down and starting it again? It’s a good troubleshooting step for odd issues like this.

    In my app ticker I have access to both of my blogs, a free one and a .com one. Everything works perfectly for the free one. When I go in to the .com blog and I choose Blog Posts and then, let’s say, Edit Post or New Post I do the work and then hit Publish or Update.

    It loads and loads and loads and then I get a message saying “Error Occurred During Publishing”.

    I have turned my phone on and off, deleted and reloaded the app to no avail. Right now the ONLY way for me to edit or post anything is to go through the Admin page on the app, log in to WordPress, and then go to posts from there. That works but I know it’s supposed to be a one step process. Thanks for advice!

  • Hi Katie, I’ve just reset the OAuth2 connection for your email address. You’ll need to sign out of the app and then back in again to get a new token. Hopefully this will fix the issue.

    I deleted the app from my device, downloaded it again, and logged in fresh. The error is still happening. :(
