  If you join somebody’s WordPress site as an author, can the owner see your IP address? For example, if you were really weird and decided to join the site with two accounts for some reason, would the owner of the site know you owned both accounts?

  Hi there,

  Site owners don’t have access to the IP addresses of other contributors on the site, no, but any user with the ability to manage comments, i.e. all admins and editors, and authors of individual posts, can see the IP addresses of users who leave comments on individual posts and pages.

  This includes replies from the post author, so if someone commented on a post you wrote, and you reply to them, your IP address would be visible in the comments section of the Dashboard next to that reply.
