I am trying to migrate my wordpress.com site to another host. I need the IP/hostname and Control Panel URL. Where do I find this? I do not have my own domain with wordpress as my website is rutherfordsinasia.wordpress.com thanks!

If you’d like to host your site elsewhere, you will need to create a self hosted WordPress.org site. The differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org are explained here:

I’m trying to migrate into hostgator. They will do it for me if I can offer the IP/host name of my old site. Do you know where I can find the IP/Hostname? Thanks for any help!

It sounds like the hosting company is expecting you have a self hosted WordPress.org site:
Things work a little differently on WordPress.com. It’s not possible to connect to your site using an IP address and transfer the content.
