Is content gone?

I had a blog at initial-impressions-blog.net. I switched my actual website domain to a .com and let the .net blog address go. Is my content still there to import to the .com main website domain? Where is my content now?

That .com address is still available to be purchased. You can’t just change domains. You need to buy the different one. Anyway you’re asking in the wrong place. This is the support forum for free sites hosted at WordPress.com such as the empty https://initialimpressionsembroidery.wordpress.com/. Your original site was hosted by GoDaddy so I should approach them for further advice.
