Is Hemingway theme compatible with IE9 ?

    Hello everyone,
I’m trying to setup a basic site with the Hemingway theme hosted on wordpress.com. The display works fine with latest version of Chrome, Firefox, but due to company policy I have to make it work with IE9 (9.08112.16421).

Here is the quick test site which doesn’t displayed correctly on IE9 : http://pcnmpavecie.wordpress.com/

Here is the site as it’s displayed on our company IE9 : https://flic.kr/p/oMRVum

Is there any specific tuning to make on the Hemingway theme ? Shall I bought the Premium features and set something (e.g. in the CSS) ? What have I to do to make it displayed on IE9 ?

Thanks in advance for your support

Buying upgrades will not help. Updating your IE will. I’m afraid we can’t really help.

Thanks for your interest in my issue.

Does the Hemingway incompatibility is proved with IE9 ? Or is there, according to the screenshot I provided, a setup/tuning I may test ?

PS : I can’t ask IT department to upgrade more than 10.000 devices just for my WordPress site. Welcome in the real world of big company.

Your IT department shouldn’t be running obsolete and unsafe versions of IE.

Be that as it may, there’s one thing you can try. Go to the Settings->Writing page of the dashboard and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML” and save that setting. Then go to the Posts page of the dashboard, set all the posts to Private, then set them to Public again. See if that solves the problem.

Thanks for trying to find a issue.

Unfortunately the “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML” + private -> Public doesn’t cure the problem.
